News

The Clark County Humane Society announced on March 17th that it has terminated its Executive Director, Ed Sisler, effective March 16, 2009. Subsequently, Mr. Sisler resigned his position as Clark County Dog Warden on Wednesday, March 18, 2009. Mr. Sisler had been employed as both the Executive Director for the Humane Society and the Clark County Dog Warden pursuant to a long standing agreement between the Clark County Commissioners and the Clark County Humane Society to perform joint dog control and animal abuse services.

The Humane Society intends to conduct a search for a new Executive Director. In the meantime, the Humane Society has appointed James Straley to serve as acting director. Straley formerly held the position of Deputy Director.
