Animal Welfare Outreach

Earlier this year, the OSPCA was informed of violations involving the Morgan County Dog Warden, and how remains were being disposed of deceased animals within that county.

After many long hours negotiating, explaining, and educating about what was needed to reform the practices of that county and getting their Humane Society back on it's feet, and change is coming.

Today, there is a new Dog Warden in place, and a new President of the Morgan County Humane Society. Together, they are working towards new and better ways to place animals in Morgan County. Also, volunteers are helping coordinate a new way of thinking about animal welfare within their community.

Watch our Petfinder site here to see many of the homeless animals from our own county. In addition, we are also assisting the Champaign County Dog Warden, as time and space dictate.
